When she was 17 she came home crying for some unremembered teenage reason and hugged me. I looked into those eyes, now clouded with sadness and I wrote this song within the hour. Krazy Kat is written about my cat Dimitri Shostakovich, who was an avid hunter and loved to bring me "gifts" everyday. The song describes his movements and a story about chasing a mouse. You'll see descriptions for each part, and playing this song makes you feel very "feline". Composed in 2014 and released on the album "Looking Through the Rain" in 2016.

Lost Valley was a place in my childhood woods. It was a little meadow surrounded by pines so it was hidden. I spent hours there as a boy exercising my imagination. One evening in Tennessee I was standing on the porch with my son watching the mournful sky. I had just moved here and the weather was very different from my New England life. Then the rain started to fall in bursts that grew to a downpour like I had never seen before. So I said to my son ( now composer Patrick Lee Hebert ll ) "Look son, the sky is crying."
